KLICKITAT RIVER
WASHINGTON
SUMMER | FALL STEELHEAD
Steelhead Outfitters offers guided fly fishing trips on the Klickitat River in Southwest Washington. For us this is a Fall fishery. Freezing levels need to be under 10,000 feet for the Klickitat to be suitable for swing fly fishing. The canyon section of the Klickitat is one of the most beautiful settings you will find fishing in the Pacific Northwest. In addition the Klickitat is arguably one of the finest steelhead rivers in Washington.

STEELHEAD DAY TRIPS
In a not so far away country known as Washington state lies the Klickitat River, the gem of the Columbia River Gorge. Historically known for its prolific Spring Salmon and mighty Summer Steelhead, the “Klick” is now home to several groups of anadromous fish.
Most Klickitat Steelhead are “two salt”, averaging 8-10 pounds but smaller and larger fish are not uncommon. In the Fall you will find Summer Steelhead, Fall Chinook as well as Coho salmon.

STUNNING SCENERY
The upper Klickitat River meanders through a stunningly beautiful canyon. You will be well pleased with the chance to see deer, turkey, an occasional bear and maybe even a mountain lion. Not to mention exceptional runs for swinging your well presented fly to the toughest fighting steelhead in the state.
With almost no road access for most of the stretch from Stensin Flats Down to Ice House you will enjoy the surroundings while your heart pounds in anticipation of the next grab on the swing!
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Sam’s knowledge and experience tips the odds in your favor. I have fished with Sam for over 15 years and many others before him. Sam is no doubt the best! Tight lines.
