Quick Fishing Report!
Fly fishing for steelhead on the Sandy and Clackamas rivers has been a little slow this winter. That said I moved over to the Clackamas last week and found some success. With the arrival of Spring and April we should start seeing some summer steelhead and winter steelhead in the river at the same time. Both the Sandy and the Clackamas will fish well into the spring depending on flows.
Trout Fishing on the Deschutes has been outstanding. I’ve retreated to Maupin on several occasions this winter and the trout are healthy, numerous and willing. Most of the action has been on nymphs but there will be some dry fly opportunities intermittently.
My forecast for spring fishing is that it looks good. Whether you want to go steelhead fishing or trout fishing I’m available. Please feel free to text, email or call to lock in a date for a guided trip. I look forward to hearing from you!
